the real difference though is that the inside of the bait is made from a material used in hydroponics to store moisture. Meaning these can take on thin liquids, flavours,essential oils etc.  The small holes are to let liquids in. The larger hole nr the swivel is to balance. 
I can highly recommend the fox popup weights to pin these down. Brilliant things that the crays can’t remove.

Through testing many different flavours and liquids I can highly recommend the ESTER OIL  sold by opti baits. It works perfectly👌
